With a relabelling service, your goods no longer need to go back to the manufacturer or pass through your own warehouse. Lufapak accepts pallets, cartons and single items that are already packed and gives them new labels in Neuwied. Usually something has changed: the market, the channel or the item number. You send us print files or finished label rolls, we check everything against a sample item and define where the new label will sit. We check new labels with a handheld scanner against your item data before a pallet leaves our warehouse. Typical orders include:

Amazon requires that no second readable barcode remains visible next to the FNSKU label on FBA shipments. Marketplace sellers therefore often combine our relabelling service with bagging and carton marking from our Prep Center. For chain stores and wholesalers, we position the label according to their delivery guidelines, for instance at a fixed spot on the end of the carton.

Correcting Faulty Labels Before Goods Are Shipped
If a printing error only comes to light after production, the affected items are often already stacked by the thousand on pallets. A transposed digit in the item number, a missing mandatory detail or an outdated logo is enough for a retailer to reject the whole batch. Instead of producing again, we correct the labelling directly on the finished product. A relabelling service saves material and printing costs, but above all the weeks of lead time that a new production run plus transport would take.
As soon as a correction order comes in, we block the affected stock in our warehouse management system. Since many of our staff have been with the company for ten years or more, they know such special jobs well and work through the quantity carton by carton. After each pallet, we count against the target stock so that no carton is processed twice or missed. If the packaging itself is damaged or misprinted, our service for post-processing, packing and repacking takes care of the replacement.
Contract Labelling for Single Items, Batches and Full Pallets
At what quantity does outside support pay off? Often sooner than many sellers expect. Our contract labelling starts with a single sample and goes up to container loads, which we unload at the ramp, label and put back into storage. Even large volumes stay in-house, because our warehouse has space for over 30,000 pallets.
Folding boxes, blisters and outer cartons are labelled by hand, while bottles and round containers get wrap-around labels. Our relabelling service handles small batches with changing designs without the set-up times of a labelling machine. On request, we also print the labels ourselves. Pricing is based on rates per activity, not on a flat fee.
Companies comparing contract labelling services should look beyond the unit price at storage and shipping as well. If your goods are stored with us anyway, two transport legs disappear along with the handover between two companies. Every item from our relabelling service is rebooked in stock straight away under its new EAN, and your ERP system receives the new item data automatically through our interface.
Compliant Label Content for Outsourced Labelling
Which details must appear on a label after relabelling depends on the law of the destination country. Since 13 December 2024, the EU’s product safety rules (GPSR) have required the manufacturer’s name and address for most consumer products. If the manufacturer is based outside the EU, a responsible person within the EU must also be named. Depending on the product, CE marking, the WEEE symbol or CLP hazard labels come on top. Even when you outsource the labelling, approval of the label text remains with you as the party placing the product on the market. We make sure that every label matches the approved template exactly and sits in the agreed position.
